eve of new year's eve party at bar none

bunch of colleagues suggested clubbing to celebrate the coming of a new year. the initial plan was to check out ministry of sound but the snaking queue put them off and they went to bar none instead.

not really keen about partying generally cos usually the music sucks, i hate the smell of smoke in my hair which stays on the following morning even after washing, the cover charge and drinks are almost always bloody expensive and i think queuing up to get into a club is a total waste of time. but well, since its a celebration for the coming of a new year and someone had entry vouchers, i thought i ll just give it a shot. called ken beforehand to make sure there wasn't any queue before i drag myself out of home - yup i was catching the last episode of a very engaging japanese drama serial. got to bar none just before 12 and there was no queue! called ken again thinking he would bring one of the entry vouchers out so i don't need to pay the cover but he was high and delirious and wasnt listening when i asked him about the voucher and said i havent paid the cover. he just went on and on saying he was having so much fun and asked me to just come in. so i just walked in without paying cover, which felt very good. as good as walking out of balaclava once without paying the bill becos the service there was so bad and we waited so long for the drinks.

anyways, one big attraction in bar none is the live band, jive talking. their performance that night was just blah-blah though. listless and no Energy.

regardless, everyone seemed to be having lots of fun and loved the music. maybe too intoxicated to know the difference.





















back to the point that clubbing is really boring and meaningless. until i find a club worth going to, i shall be curling up at home, reading and watching tv...
