the best gifts...
as a friend reminded me, i am in my last year of twenty-something.
here are the best gifts (in no particular order) that i received to celebrate that:
* dinner at the place of my choice (even though inconvenient for friend)
* that a friend actually noticed and remembered that i carried my toiletries in a plastic bag during a trip and got a travel pouch so i can travel 'in style' for future trips (touched beyond words...)
* chilling-out with old friends over drinks and listening to me bitch about everything
* scouring the shopping centre for an animal-friendly gift cos i mentioned before that i'm against animal-testing (that's so sweet to give in to my views!)
* recording a 'happy birthday' greeting in a card so i can replay it many years down the road and remember this day
* flying down from hk to have seafood dinner together with whole family
* an external hard disk to back up my work cos i ever lost an entire project when computer crashed just before deadline
* messages from friends who remembered this day

sounds good to me. unlike mine, i was stuck at work the night before and the day itself at some far flung ulu part of singapore. hopefully it will not be repeated next year.
